  • I believe therapy is most effective when it feels collaborative, personalized, and grounded in a genuine therapeutic relationship. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I work to understand each client's unique story, experiences, strengths, and goals.

Before becoming a therapist, I studied journalism, an experience that continues to shape my work today. Journalism taught me the value of curiosity, active listening, and the importance of understanding the many layers that make up a person's story. Those skills naturally inform how I approach therapy—with openness, thoughtful questions, and a genuine desire to understand your lived experience.

Creativity has also played an important role throughout my life. As an artist and musician, I have a deep appreciation for the ways people express themselves, make meaning, and navigate life's complexities. This perspective helps me approach therapy with flexibility, curiosity, and respect for the unique ways each person experiences and interprets the world.

My clinical work is informed by evidence-based practices while remaining responsive to your individual needs. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel understood, challenged when appropriate, and empowered to make meaningful changes.

In addition to my general psychotherapy training, I have specialized training through Postpartum Support International (PSI) in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, allowing me to support individuals and families navigating pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, fertility challenges, grief and loss, and major life transitions.

  • Clients often describe my approach as warm, thoughtful, collaborative, and direct when needed. I believe therapy works best when there is a balance of support, honesty, curiosity, and even a little humor. While we may be discussing difficult topics, I don't believe therapy has to feel overly formal or clinical all the time.

My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself while also feeling challenged to grow. Together, we'll explore patterns, relationships, emotions, and experiences that may be contributing to your current struggles, while building practical tools to help you move forward.

Depending on your goals and needs, our work may include role-playing difficult conversations, exploring recurring themes and relationship dynamics, or using metaphors and creative perspectives to better understand complex experiences. Drawing from my background as a writer, artist, and musician, I sometimes incorporate references from literature, poetry, music, and storytelling when they help illuminate an idea or offer a new way of understanding yourself.

Therapy is not about having someone tell you what to do. Instead, it's a collaborative process of making sense of your experiences, developing greater self-awareness, strengthening coping skills, and creating meaningful change. Whether you're navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, a major life transition, or simply seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, therapy can provide a space for reflection, growth, and transformation.
